The present work investigated the removal capacity of Cr (VI) in synthetic water by using a mixture of orange peel and banana peel as bioadsorbent. To achieve the treated orange peel was washed with warm water, cold water and ethanol, followed by a process of demethoxylation using NaOH for two hours in order to remove compound such as sugars and citric acid. The shells were then dried in an oven at 105°C, crushed and then immersed in a solution of CaCl2 for 24 hours in shaker agitator; after the time the material was filtered and dried again to finally be sieved. In the case of banana peel its treatment consisted of washing them in a NaClO solution for 5 minutes, then eliminating fruit residues, then drying the peels for 2 hours and a half and finally grinding in a pulverizer mill. Once the biadsorbent material was ready, synthetic water with a concentration of 52,46 ppm was prepared. 27 duplicate tests were carried out for a total of 54, to which the pH was adjusted according to the selected values, the corresponding amounts of bioadsorbents were added to complete the total value of the mixture and agitation was carried out for 24 hours. As results it was obtained that the peel of banana has a better capacity of removal to pH 5 and the peel of orange to pH 3; the percentages of removal were between 82% and 97% being the maximum removal of 97%. In addition, it was observed that the amount of bioadsorbent that allowed the greatest removal was 10 g (25% orange - 75% banana) in 100 ml of solution; evidencing that the mixture of these two organic materials increased the percentage of removal of Cr and COD and TOC showed that the orange peel generates a large contribution of organic load. As for the economic part, i.e., the pre-feasibility analysis, we identified the bone expenditures, the investments that are unique in the project whose value was 116´410.670 COP, the costs that are all that I need to carry out the project, which were de1´492.912 COP per month; and finally the expenses that are independent of the operation of the project, whose value was 863.180 COP. Once this was done, we proceeded to make a cash flow for a project horizon of ten (10) years and with the values of the net flow two criteria were evaluated, the first the net present value (NPV) and the second the uniform annual equivalent cost (UAC). With the evaluation of the criteria it was determined that the NPV in today's currency 2019 is 369´385.592 COP and the EARC is 46´110.448 COP.
