In this study the normal echocardiographic values were determined in 128 healthy canines in the city of Bogotá, on the 2600 meters on the level of the sea; considering the weight like a significant variable; with ages that oscillated between the 2 and 6 years. Considering that, in this means, the referring ones of comparison for the echocardiographic values that are used in the anatomic and functional evaluation of the heart of the canine ones, are taken from foreign literature with different topographical conditions and from surroundings; that they could change to the analysis and the results; and probably the parameters measured through echocardiogram; tables with parameters of canine servants in this surroundings were obtained; obtaining of this form, the approach to a diagnosis guessed right, based on a complementary aid, as it is it the heart ultrasound. General and detailed cardiovascular clinical examinations were made to the canine ones with the purpose of determining its state of health. Additionally, radiographic, electrocardiographic examinations and arterial ramming intake were used; diminishing, that some cardiovascular pathology was present and altered so much the integrity of the patient like the collected data. Next, it was come with the echocardiographic examination, locating to the right patient on guard esternal position, were used images in Mode B and M, being obtained a cut adapted for the obtaining of the values of each structure cardiac, mainly of the left ventricle, from diastolic and systolic measurements, the cardiac valves (mitral, tricuspid and aortic), evaluating the systolic function of the left ventricle through the hemodinamic determination of the fraction of ejection and shortening; and jointly Colour-flow and pulsed-wave spectral Doppler was made to value of noninvasive way the ventricular diastolic function. Finally, with the determination of the normal echocardiographic values and the compilation by parameters in tables organized by intervals of weight, with a trustworthiness of 95%; they were mediated and statistically analyzed through the test t-Student, which allowed to confirm the variation of some parameters with respect to the existing tables being validated the collected data, to be finally a contribution and a guide when needing the canine anatomy and cardiovascular physiology, thus, like a great tool in the obtaining of a diagnosis adapted in the future correlations that are made in patients with cardiovascular pathologies in the region.
