Colombia does not have the best indicators to consider itself highly competitive, positioning itself in distant places of the first place in the Global Competitiveness Index calculated by the World Economic Forum; However, in recent years has seen the interest of the country to overcome such situation. The road transport infrastructure is a determining factor in competitiveness, although its development in the country has not been the best, since there are not enough roads in adequate conditions, in addition to the high transport costs generated by this situation. This paper analyzes the influence of road transport infrastructure on the competitiveness of Colombia, within the Pacific Alliance. To do this, a variation of the gravitational model of trade was used, which consists in identifying the relationship between the road transport infrastructure, where the variable distance was replaced by the kilometers of paved roads and transport costs in front of the commercial exchange, with the Order to identify the competitiveness behavior of the country. The results obtained formulate a series of economic policy recommendations, with the intention of increasing the country's competitiveness through the improvement of road transport infrastructure
