Resumen
El modelo productivo en Colombia ha tenido grandes transformaciones a lo largo de la historia, donde el sector agropecuario se ha visto afectado principalmente, ya que ha tenido un periodo de expansión a partir de 1930, una aceleración desde la segunda posguerra hasta 1980 y un estancamiento a partir de esta. Debido a esto, es pertinente realizar un análisis estructural del sector agropecuario y rural en Colombia en el periodo 1990 – 2016, tomando como referencia datos provenientes del Banco de la Republica sobre el Producto Interno Bruto por actividades económicas y de la Sociedad de Agricultores de Colombia (SAC). Adicionalmente, se tomaran los datos sobre brecha de pobreza y bienestar entre la población urbana y rural, de la Misión Rural para la transformación del campo, y la Encuesta Nacional de Demografía y Salud (ENDS)Por lo tanto, la investigación parte de la pregunta ¿Cuál ha sido la evolución y el aporte del sector agropecuario a la economía colombiana? Por lo cual, se plantea como hipótesis que el sector agropecuario ha disminuido su participación en la economía colombiana debido a que este país le apostó a un modelo productivo extractivista que privilegia sectores como el financiero y el minero. Esto ocasiona que se lleve a cabo un proceso de desagriculturación y desruralización afectando directamente el crecimiento económico y el bienestar de la población rural

The productive model in Colombia has had great transformations throughout history, where the agricultural sector has been affected mainly, since there has been a period of expansion since 1930, an acceleration since the second postwar period until 1980 and a stagnation from this. Due to this, it is pertinent to perform a structural analysis of the agricultural and rural sector in Colombia in the period 1990 - 2016, taking as a reference data from the Bank of the Republic on the Gross Domestic Product by economic activities and the Colombian Farmers' Society (SAC). Additionally, data on the poverty and well-being gap between the urban and rural population, the Rural Mission for the transformation of the countryside, and the National Survey of Demography and Health (ENDS) will be taken into account.Therefore, the investigation starts from the question: Which has been the evolution and contribution of the agricultural sector to the Colombian economy? Therefore, it is hypothesized that the agricultural sector has decreased its participation in the Colombian economy due to the fact that Colombia opted for an extractive production model that privileges sectors such as finance and mining. This causes a process in which agricultural activity is left aside, this directly affects the economic growth and well-being of the rural population
