Resumen
The peace agreement endorsed with the revolutionary armed forces of Colombia – FARC (by itsacronym in Spanish), as well as negotiations with the ELN guerrilla group, generate expectationsand challenges related to the land restitution and the feasible return or relocation of the victims ofdisplacement in the post-agreement stage. The main objective of this study is to describe andunderstand the characteristics which determine that a victim of the armed conflict, who lives inBogota, take the decision to return to their place of origin, relocate in a different place or stay inBogotá. The probability of the intention to return to the place of origin of the victims and theintention of relocating or permanence in the case of not wanting to return to their place of originis estimated using a multinomial probit model. This study shows a strong tendency to thepreference to stay in Bogota. These findings raise the importance of join institutional publicpolicy efforts of attention, assistance and integral reparation to victims of forced displacement aswell as integrated rural development
