Resumen

El objetivo principal de este proyecto fue la implementación de un plan de seguridad para agua potable en la vereda Hondura Chingafrío del municipio El Rosal, Cundinamarca. Dentro de este plan se consideraron dos programas que permitieron conocer las condiciones del sistema de abastecimiento de agua potable presente en la vereda y las afectaciones a la salud de la comunidad. Con el plan de seguridad del agua potable se conocieron los peligros asociados a diversos eventos que puedan impactar negativamente el sistema de abastecimiento de agua, se realizó un seguimiento a las características físicas, químicas y microbiológicas mediante el cálculo del IRCA, así se establecieron las actividades de optimización requeridas y se obtuvo finalmente un IRCA del 2% que indica que el agua es apta para el consumo humano y cumple con la resolución 2115 de 2007. También, se desarrolló un programa de vigilancia en salud publica en donde se aplicó una encuesta como instrumento de morbilidad sentida para conocer la percepción de la comunidad con respecto a la salud, por otro lado, se plantearon actividades y estrategias para la prevención y control de enfermedades ocasionadas por el consumo de agua contaminada.

The main objective of this project was the implementation of a safety plan for drinking water in the Hondura Chingafrío village of El Rosal township, Cundinamarca. Within this plan two programs were considered that allowed to know the conditions of the drinking water supply system present in the village and the effects on the health of the community. The drinking water safety plan met the dangers associated with various events that may negatively impact the water supply system, the physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics were monitored by calculating the IRCA, thus the required optimization activities were established and an IRCA of 2% was finally obtained indicating that the water is fit for human consumption and complies with the resolution 2115 of 2007. Also, a public health surveillance program was established where a survey was applied as an instrument of morbidity sent to know the perception of the community regarding health, on the other hand, activities and strategies for the prevention and control of diseases caused by the consumption of contaminated water.
