The continuous and rapid growth of cities increases the waterproofing areas of the soil, generating problems with the conventional drainage system, each time larger collectors are built, increasing investment progressively. In search of innovative solutions that address the rainwater management of a different wood than the conventional one combining the environmental, social and economic, with the purpose of integrating the infrastructure with the natural environment as a solution to counteract the negative effects of the increase in urbanization, Urban Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) are presented. The present project aims to make a comparison between the two systems of urban drainage; conventional and sustainable, reviewing some proposals of the SUDS literature and comparisons with the real urban condition in a sector of Bogota comprised in the sector between streets 106 to 110 and between runs 7 to 9, defining what would be the hydraulic benefits that these urban systems contribute of sustainable drainage as a complement to the real storm drainage system. The purpose is to generate new concepts of urban development that include the components of urban drainage management
