There is a great variety of structural systems, each one with specific characteristics for supporting vertical and horizontal loads. One of them, the composite system, which is developed seeking advantages such as: the optimization of the use of materials by combining both in a structural unit, the use of greater spans between columns; the possibility of reuse of the structure; reduction of construction costs due to shorter construction times; column size and foundation; in addition, the increased protection against fire and corrosion. With the application of technologies such as welding, it was possible to provide a mechanical union between the two materials seeking to determine a single structural unit, facilitating the design of the elements, thus emerging the shear connectors that seek the optimal work of the section composed of steel and concrete; in addition, avoid possible differential displacements between the component elements, both in the longitudinal direction as vertical. Within the national regulations, the spike type shear connectors present an analytical design formulation of nominal ultimate resistance adapted from research de Ollgaard et al. (1971), with variations with respect to experimental trials of up to 40% (Guzmán et al, 2014). In this formulation, the design considered factors were concrete strength and the stud quality, omitting other variables that may affect the calculation of the maximum capacity of the system, such as the height of the connector, the separation between connectors and the soldering process
