One of the biggest concerns within the Power Electric Systems is to maintain stable some parameters such as the (Electric Tension, Electric Current and Frequency), specially the Electric Tension. The integration of Distributed Energy Sources enforces new challenges to be evaluated, which involves Tension Stability and Active Generated Power. This investigation shows a study of the influence of the presence of the distributed power generation over the frequency voltage sags in distribution networks. All the analyses were made based in one of the study cases from the IEEE, the distribution system IEEE-13. The analysis was done beginning with the ATP simulation system with stable and transitory conditions, using the "Stochastic Analysis of Failures" methodology based on from the generation of a system failure profile from the IEEE. The application of this methodology is in order to establish which are the critical nodes of the system, and finally implement the use of distributed generators considering the different locations and penetration levels. One of the principal goals of this project will resolve a fundamental problem and will result from the response to the following question: Is it feasible or not to implement the use of distributed generation to mitigate the effect of sags in distribution systems?
