Resumen

El municipio de Puerto Libertador departamento de Córdoba, ha padecido múltiples problemas desde el ámbito social hasta el punto de insostenibilidad financiera; análogamente surgió una alternativa económica como modelo de producción para el sostenimiento de las familias de la región del sur de Córdoba. Inicialmente y en el transcurso de la ejecución del proyecto se llevaron a cabo capacitaciones, charlas y asistencia técnica a agricultores y estudiantes, todo con el objetivo final de hacerles ver que hay una manera diferente de producir siendo amigables con el medio ambiente y rentable económicamente.

La producción del cultivo de ñame no solo estuvo enfocada en el manejo técnico, sino además en investigaciones novedosas que inducen a obtener una mayor producción y mejor calidad de los productos obtenidos al final de la cosecha. Además llevar el debido análisis y registro financiero y respectivo estudio de mercado para de esta manera garantizar y evidenciar la rentabilidad económica del proyecto durante el ciclo de producción

The municipality of Puerto Libertador, department of Córdoba, has sympathized with many problems from the social sphere to the point of financial unsustainability; analogously, an economic alternative emerged as a production model for the support of families in the southern region of Córdoba. Initially and during the execution of the project, training, talks and technical assistance were given to farmers and students, all with the final goal of making them see that there is a different way of producing being friendly to the environment and economically profitable. The cultivation of yam variety hawthorn has a high consumption throughout the Caribbean region, its potential source of nutrients make this a product with high demand in the regional and international market. Showing this productive model generated a number of expectations for all the farmers in the area, who perceived in the project an economically profitable agricultural alternative. The production of the yam crop was not only focused on technical management, but also on new research that induces to obtain a higher production and better quality of the products obtained at the end of the harvest. In addition, to carry out the due analysis and financial record and respective market study in order to guarantee and demonstrate the economic profitability of the project during the production cycle
