Resumen

La ganadería es una de las actividades económicas más importantes del municipio de Restrepo, Meta, después de la explotación petrolera y minera. Siendo el mayor sustento para las familias de la zona urbana y rural. No obstante, en la época de sequía se ve afectado por la escasez de alimento, obligando a los ganaderos a buscar una fuente de alimento que supla las necesidades de los animales. La actividad agrícola del municipio ha disminuido considerablemente, debido al poco conocimiento de las labores, los altos costos de insumos agrícolas y bajo valor de venta de los productos, ocasionando que los campesinos dejen de lado la agricultura y busquen otras fuentes de ingresos. Este escenario motivó el presente proyecto el cual se enfocó en cuatro componentes: agronómico, social, investigativo y comercial, con el objetivo de incentivar y / o fortalecer la agricultura en la zona de ejecución de este. El componente agronómico fue realizado con la implementación de un cultivo de maíz (Zea mays L.), para la elaboración de silo, permitir una fuente de alimento en la época de sequía y de esta manera beneficiarios a los productores y ganaderos del municipio. En el componente social se trabajó mediante capacitaciones técnicas - prácticas sobre agricultura orgánica y sus beneficios, este componente fue enfocado a pequeños agricultores de la vereda Vega Grande en el municipio de Restrepo. Al final de este proceso los asistentes ya realizaban sus propios productos orgánicos como compostaje y algunos biopreparados para la protección y nutrición de sus cultivos e implementaron huertas caseras. En el componente investigativo, se asociaron el maíz (Zea mays), el frijol (Phaseolus vulgaris), el botón de oro (Ranunculus acris) y el girasol (Helianthus annuus), con el objetivo de identificar taxonómicamente los especímenes de insectos que frecuentaron esta asociación, se efectuó una clasificación del efecto que estos causan a los cultivos ya mencionado, ya sea positivo o negativo (benéficos o plagas). Por último, el componente comercial, se obtuvo una producción total de 18 toneladas de silo, pero debido a la pérdida por condiciones ambientales adversas, finalmente se comercializaron 12 toneladas. ya sea positivo o negativo (benéficos o plagas). Livestock is one of the most important economic activities in the municipality of Restrepo, Meta, after of mining and oil industry. It is also the main sustentance for the urban and rural families in this municipality. However, the drought period affect the cattle rancher by a shortage of food, for that reason, they are obliged to look for another way to supply the animals need. In addition to this fact, in Restrepo, the agriculture activities have considerately decreased by the little knowledge about it, the high value of the agricole supplies and low sold value of the harvest. All these has made farmers give up of agriculture and look for other economic income. These facts motivated the present project, which is focused on four components: agronomic, social, investigative and commercial, with the purpose of encouraging and/or increasing in agriculture on the project execution zone. The agronomic component was carried out with the implementation of maize crop (Zea mays L.), for silage, allowing to have a source of food in drought period and this way benefit the cattlemen of the municipality. In the social component, work was carried out through technical – practical training on organic agriculture and its benefits, this component was focused on small farmers in vereda Vega Grande in the municipality of Restrepo. At the end of this process the assistants already making their own organic products like composting and some biopreparations for the protection and nutrition of their crops and they implemented organic orchards. In the research component, the crops maize (Zea mays), bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), common buttercup (Ranunculus acris) and sunflower (Helianthus annuus) were associated with the purpose of taxonomically identifying the specimens of insects that frequented this association, also were made a classification of the effect they cause to the after mentioned crops, either positive or negative. In the commercial component, was obtained a total production of 18 tons of silage, but due to the adverse environmental conditions, 12 tons were finally marketed.
