Resumen

En el municipio de San Vicente del Caguan, las actividades agrícolas presentan dificultades para su desarrollo debido a la falta de tecnología, asistencia técnica e inversión al sector, sus habitantes optan por alternativas como la producción ganadera, siendo está la base de la economía de la , lo que hace necesario la implementación de nuevos proyectos, que diversificar sus actividades y con ello la economía. Para la ejecución del presente proyecto se enfocó la realización de cuatro componentes, agronómicos, sociales, investigativo y empresarialización del campo. Teniendo presente lo anterior se implementó un cultivo de maíz (Zea mays), en la Inspección de Puerto Betania del Caguan Caquetá, realizando manejos técnicos en los que se incluyen, mecanización del suelo, fertilización y manejo de plagas, enfermedades y arvenses, evidenciándose los resultados con la producción obtenida 4,650 kg, comercializados en la inspección, el 90% de la producción se vendió directamente al consumidor final, el 10% restante a tiendas y abarrotes, logrando un análisis financiero positivo. En la región se ha trabajado desde hace décadas con el cultivo de maíz, específicamente variedades criollas, manejadas de manera tradicional. Se evaluó la variedad Calilla mediante dos sistemas de producción diferentes (tradicional y tecnificado) donde se evidencia diferencias significativas en variables de producción para longitud de la mazorca (LM) el T1 manejo tradicional, con una media de 13,75 cm, para el T2 , manejo tecnificado presenta un valor medio de 17,77 cm, en el peso de 100 granos con promedio de (39 gr) T2 y de (34 gr) T1. In the municipality of San Vicente del Caguan, agricultural activities present difficulties for their development due to the lack of technology, technical assistence and investment in the sector, its inhabitants choose alternatives such as livestock production the basis of the regions economy. Which makes necessary the implementation of new projects that require diversifying their activities and with it the economy. For the execution of the present project, four components were focused: agronomic, social, research and entrepreneurialization of the field. Bearing in mind the above, a corn crop (Zea mays) was implemented in the Inspection of Puerto Betania del Caguan Caqueta, performing technical management which includes, soil mechanization, fertilization and pest management, diseases and arvens, evidencing the results with the production obtained 4,650 kg, sold in the inspection, 90% of the production was sold directly to the final consumer, the remaining 10% to stores and groceries, achieving a positive financial analysis. In the region has worked for decades with the cultivation of maize specifically Creole varieties, managed in a traditional way, this variety was evaluated by two different managements (traditional and technified) where significant differences are evident in production variables for length of the ear (LM) the T1 traditional management, with an average of 13.75 cm, for the T2, technified management presents an average value of 17.77 cm in the weight of 100 grains with average of (39 gr) T2 and (34 gr) T1. The agricultural and environmental approach of the Educational Institution Cristo Rey was accompanied to the students of tenth and eleventh grades, through training on home gardens, care of the environment and beautification of common areas of the Educational Institution, 19 young people and 5 parents participated, it was also achieved the implementation of home gardens in 5 families of the young participants
