ABSTRACT The present work was based on the implementation of a productive system of plantain variety Dominican hartón (Musa AAB), as a alternative of agricultural production in the Aposentos inspection of the municipality of Yacopí, Cundinamarca state. The cultivation was implemented in half a hectare, with a sowing density of 1,600 plants / hectare. Agronomic management was based on fertilization, control of weeds, pests, diseases, and technical management of the crop. The most limiting factor was rain, which caused stress problems and propitious conditions for the appearance and development of yellow sigatoka (Mycosphaerella musicola) and black sigatoka (Mycosphaerella fijiensis). Despite the adverse conditions, the harvest of the product began in June. Regarding the investigative component, considering the importance of cocoa crop (Theobroma cacao) in the area where the PPAO was carried out, this crop was worked in this component and in the social component. The objective of the research was to characterize socioeconomically and productively the cocoa producer families of the Aposentos inspection. In the social component, technical talks were held with the family nuclei surveyed in the research component, which were oriented to the technical management of the crop. The surveys carried out allowed to obtain a complete characterization of the cocoa producer families of the inspection in social, economic, and productive aspects. Finally, in the entrepreneurship component, the production obtained up to July 2021 was extrapolated, since it just started in June. The projection indicated that an average of 14 tons of product with a value greater than COP$ 24,000,000 will be obtained. Based on this projection, the IRR and NPV values indicate the viability of the project. Through the development of the degree project, a wide knowledge was obtained in the agronomic management of the plantain and cocoa crop. In addition, the realization of the social and investigative component involved joint work with the community, this allowed to know in detail socioeconomic aspects of this, to fully understand the problems and needs of the producers in the area and, therefore, to obtain greater knowledge that allows the elaboration of an action plan to make a true contribution to the integral rural development of both the Aposentos inspection and the Yacopí municipality.
