Resumen

Se implementó un sistema productivo de maíz híbrido DK 7088 con fines comerciales en el municipio de Balboa Risaralda como modelo productivo en un área de 10.000 m², con una densidad de siembra de 50.000 plantas/ha, donde se empleó un manejo técnico de acuerdo al nivel de formación del emprendedor destacando actividades como limpieza del terreno, siembra, manejo integrado de plagas, enfermedades y arvenses, fertilización y cosecha, teniendo como limitantes durante el desarrollo del proyecto el alto costo en insumos y baja disponibilidad de la mano de obra, los factores climáticos y presencia de enfermedades. Por otra parte, se realizó una serie de capacitaciones sobre productos agroquímicos a pequeños productores y trabajadores de la empresa Unipalma en el municipio de Veracruz-Meta con el objetivo de educar a los participantes en aspectos básicos sobre el uso racional de agroquímicos y su importancia en la evolución de la agricultura preservar la salud de los ecosistemas y de los operarios que intervienen en dichas actividades.

A DK 7088 hybrid maize productive system was implemented for commercial purposes in the municipality of Balboa Risaralda as a productive model in an area of 10,000 m², with a population density of 50,000 plants/ha, where technical management was used according to the level of training. of the entrepreneur, highlighting activities such as land clearing, planting, integrated management of pests, diseases and weeds, fertilization and harvest, having as limitations during the development of the project the high cost of inputs and low availability of labor, climatic factors and presence of diseases. Indeed, the corn was marketed in packages to an intermediary who would later take the product to the supply centers and to the final consumer. On the other hand, a series of trainings on agrochemical products was carried out for small producers and workers of the Unipalma company in the municipality of Veracruz-Meta with the objective of educating the participants in basic aspects of the rational use of agrochemicals and their importance in the evolution of agriculture to preserve the health of the ecosystems and of the operators involved in these activities.
