Plan de mejoramiento de la calidad del agua del Río Chicu, en su recorrido por el municipio de Tenjo Cundinamarca

Abstract

Por la jurisdicción del municipio de Tenjo discurre el rio Chicú, principal corriente que atraviesa de norte a sur el municipio, pasando por las veredas La Juaica, Chacal, La Chucua, Guangata, Martin y Espino, Santa Cruz y Poveda 1 y 2, correspondiendo estas áreas a las propuestas en el proyecto. Considerando la topografía y usos del suelo contemplados para los ecosistemas presentes en la zona de influencia del proyecto, se evidencian los asentamientos humanos, el sector agropecuario (siendo esta la principal actividad del municipio.), observando así que dichas actividades afectan de manera directa el cuerpo de agua puesto que se encuentran vertimientos directos al rio Chicú alterando así la dinámica del mismo; por tal motivo es necesario ejecutar acciones que permitan conocer el estado actual del rio, con el fin de ejercer un control y mitigación de los impactos negativos que puedan afectar la biota y ecosistema acuático procurando el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de la población . El proyecto se realizó en tres etapas; la primera corresponde al reconocimiento de la zona que atraviesa el rio Chicú en el municipio de Tenjo, e interacción con la comunidad aledaña al mismo, la segunda etapa se dedicó a las visitas de seguimiento, verificación, caracterización e inventario de vertimientos y por último se realizó el diseño del plan de mejoramiento de la calidad del agua del rio Chicú. Es importante afirmar que con el desarrollo de esta investigación, basada en el diagnóstico y la evaluación crítica de las intervenciones realizadas en la cuenca hidrográfica, se crearan pautas indispensables para que futuros investigadores lleven a cabo estudios similares con otras cuencas hidrográficas y así, adoptar medidas que permitan llegar a una mejor calidad de agua

Considering the topography and land uses contemplated for the ecosystems in the area of influence, human settlements are evident, the agricultural sector (this being the main activity of the municipality).These activities directly affect the waterbody as direct discharges to the river Chicú are done thus altering its dynamics; for this reason it is necessary to implement actions that reveal the current state of the river, in order to exercise control and mitigation of the negative impacts that could affect biota and aquatic ecosystem ensuring improved quality of life of the population. The project will take place in three stages; The first is the recognition of the zone that crosses the river Chicú in the town Tenjo, and interaction with the surrounding community at the same, the second stage is developed to follow-up visits, verification, characterization and inventory of discharges and finally the design of the plan to improve the water quality of the river Chicú was performed. It is important to state that the development of this research, based on the diagnosis and critical evaluation of interventions in the watershed indispensable create guidelines for future researchers to conduct similar studies with other watersheds and thus measures to allow access to improved water quality
