La sociedad como las personas solían conocerla está sufriendo vertiginosos cambios que han ocupado cada aspecto de la vida cotidiana. Con la llegada de las nuevas tecnologías se ha modificado la forma como el ser humano percibe el mundo. En consecuencia, los cambios en los procesos de adquisición de información y con esto la incorporación de las nuevas tecnologías en la sociedad, ha representado un hito trascendental en el ámbito educativo, que ha llevado a la educación a re-direccionar los métodos de enseñanza. El presente artículo de investigación se centra en el uso del aula virtual como herramienta TIC dentro de los procesos pedagógicos de la Universidad de La Salle, para tal fin, se propone un análisis reflexivo acerca de la importancia y funcionalidad que los docentes conceden a su utilización dentro de los diferentes procesos de enseñanza. Para poder comprender dichos propósitos, como objeto de estudio se propuso reconocer específicamente el rol del docente en uso del aula virtual como herramienta complementaria del aula presencial en los espacios académicos de la Universidad de La Salle. Para hacer posible dicho reconocimiento, se indagó acerca de las experiencias y los diferentes puntos de vista que los docentes han adquirido a través de su labor educativa dentro de la Universidad
The society, as people used to know it, is suffering vertiginous changes that have taken every aspect of daily life, with the arrival of new technologies, it is changing the way human beings perceive the world. Consequently, changes in the process of acquiring information and with this the incorporation of new technologies in the society has represented a major milestone in education, which has led to education redirect teaching methods. This research paper focuses on the use of the virtual classroom and ICT tools in the learning processes at La Salle University, to this purpose, here is a thoughtful analysis of the importance and functionality that teachers attach to their use within their different teaching processes. To understand these purposes, as an object of study set out specifically to recognize the role of teachers in use of the virtual classroom as a complementary tool of the physical classroom in academic areas of La Salle University. To make such recognition possible, there was a research about the experiences and the different points of view that teachers have acquired through their educational work within the University
