La implementación del sistema de gestión ambiental para CODENSA significa uno de sus mayores logros en su corta existencia en el negocio de la distribución y comercialización de la energía eléctrica en el centro del país; conjuntamente obtener la certificación ISO 14001/96 demuestra que cada uno de los requerimientos y etapas de este proceso de implementación se lograron cumplir satisfactoriamente. Con la identificación de los aspectos ambientales en las operaciones y actividades de CODENSA se logra neutralizar el impacto ocasionado al medio ambiente aplicando para ello programas de gestión ambiental, acordes para las situaciones que se derivan de cada aspecto. Así mismo la política ambiental refleja el compromiso de protección y conservación del medio ambiente, cumpliendo con los requerimientos de ley vigentes que exigen las autoridades ambientales; de igual manera esta misma política se ha propagado entre todo el personal propio y contratistas logrando un interés especial en el tema ambiental y conociendo cada uno sus responsabilidades adoptadas para el funcionamiento correcto de este sistema.
The implementation of the system of environmental administration for CODENSA one of their biggest achievements means in their short existence in the business of the distribution and commercialization of the electric power in the center of the country; jointly to obtain the certification ISO 14001/96 demonstrates that each one of the requirements and stages of this implementation process were possible to complete satisfactorily. With the identification of the environmental aspects in the operations and activities of CODENSA is possible to neutralize the impact caused to the environment applying for it programs of environmental administration, chords for the situations that are derived of each aspect. Likewise the reflective environmental politics the protection commitment and conservation of the environment, fulfilling the effective law requirements that demand the environmental authorities; in a same way this same politics has spread between the whole own personnel and contractors achieving a special interest in the environmental topic and knowing each one its responsibilities adopted for the correct operation of this system
