The main objective of the study was the comparative diagnosis of the atypical elements present in the urban area of Funza and those studied in the Quirigua sector of Bogotá. The study was developed in phases, first establishing the characteristics of the atypical elements present in the urban area of Funza through visits to the sector, photographic records and identification, followed this were compared with those of Quirigua, through a matrix Of grid and having as reference the main items worked in the document of the reference study, which gather the most important aspects regarding the public space of the urban sector; Finally the current state and diagnosis of the atypical elements of the two sectors were determined in terms of type, quantity, location, land use and causes that originate them. It was evidenced that visual impairment in both sectors is closely associated with economic, commercial and industrial development. However, although there is a partial normativity, the presence of atypical elements is similar in both areas; Thus establishing that the standards, in terms of atypical elements that intervene the urban space, need to be assimilated, regulated or applied by the environmental authority to help mitigate their impact
