Abstract

La investigación “Ausentismo Laboral en el Ministerio del Interior y de Justicia”, es un estudio de tipo exploratorio – descriptivo, con metodología cualitativa y cuantitativa; utiliza el método inductivo y para la recolección de la información emplea la técnica de la entrevista semi estructurada, encaminada a indagar sobre las causas y consecuencias de las ausencias laborales de los funcionarios del ministerio del Interior y de Justicia durante el segundo periodo del año 2008. El objetivo general de la investigación es el de identificar los factores psicosociales que generan el ausentismo laboral de los funcionarios en el Ministerio del Interior y de Justica durante el segundo período del 2008. Toma una muestra de 82 funcionarios que corresponde al 18% del universo de 456 personas. Los resultados de la investigación dan cuenta que el ausentismo laboral presentado se debe en mayor proporción a enfermedad profesional diagnosticada, enfermedad general y calamidad domestica, y entre los factores psicosociales generadores de enfermedades que afectan el funcionamiento y labores a desempeñar por parte de los funcionarios se encontró: las relaciones interpersonales, sobrecarga laboral excesiva monotonía y poca rotación de personal.
