El presente documento tiene como propósito analizar el estado en que se encuentran las empresas de Ingeniería Civil en cuanto a la innovación, para tal efecto se analizó el marco teórico de la innovación hasta llegar al punto clave mediante encuestas a Gerentes e Ingenieros Civiles. Se tomó además como referencia frases claves de gerentes exitosos de grandes empresas, y se concibe una mirada a los planes de estudio que ofrecen las universidades en Ingeniería Civil. Además se analizaron documentos numerosos y una revisión de las políticas de las principales empresas de construcción en el país. Se ha evidenciado que las empresas de Ingeniería Civil no aplican planes de innovación dentro de sus organizaciones debido a varios factores como: la falta de formación de sus profesionales, la falta de recursos y falta de políticas gubernamentales y empresariales para incentivar el tema. Concluimos que para que haya una cultura de innovación en las empresas de Ingeniería Civil, se debe empezar por la formación de la persona, del ingeniero, reforzando sus competencias en estos temas, seguido de la capacitación en tecnologías externas, que podemos considerar como innovadoras en nuestras empresas.
This paper aims to analyze the state faced by companies of Civil Engineering on innovation, to that end, we examined the theoretical framework of innovation to the point key managers through surveys and Civil Engineers. It also took as a reference key phrases of successful managers of large enterprises, and conceived a look at the curriculum offered by universities in Civil Engineering. Also discussed numerous documents and a review of the policies of major construction companies in the country. It has become clear that companies do not apply Civil Engineering programmers or plans of innovation within their organizations due to several factors including: the lack of training of its professionals, lack of resources and lack of government policies and business incentives to the topic. We conclude that so that there is an innovation culture in the companies, we should begin with the person's formation, of the engineer, reinforcing their competitions in these topics, followed by the qualification of external technologies that we can consider as innovations for our companies.
