La Caracterización de la cadena ovino Caprina para el Municipio de Suesca Cundinamarcagenera una posibilidad de competencia que favorece a la región y sus habitantes. Ademásse referencia información y datos aplicados para la contextualización de la agrocadena.La metodología utilizada fue de tipo cualitativo que permitió el manejo del contexto, losreferentes y las variables como un todo. En cuanto al marco de referencia se realiza unacercamiento a la información Internacional, Nacional y local en materia de consumo yproducción de carne. En el contexto nacional los resultados indican que la producción decarne ovina es una opción que llevada a cabo con los requerimientos adecuados,estableciendo asociaciones de productores y desarrollando buenas prácticas se puede llegara ser competitivos en el sector al convertirse en una oportunidad de negocio en el corto,mediano y largo plazo
