China en América Latina: caso del sector pesquero peruano y sus exportaciones a China en los años 2009-2014

Perú fue uno de los primeros países latinoamericanos en establecer relaciones comerciales con China, poco después del dominio colonial español. Durante los años 90, la respectiva administración de ambos países generó una serie de reformas económicas que impulsaron el despegue y el fortalecimiento de dicha relación económico-comercial; desde entonces Perú se ha posicionado como uno de los principales socios de América Latina objeto de inversión y comercio. En la actualidad China es el segundo socio comercial de Perú, la balanza comercial de China se inclina hacia la importación de harina de pescado, forrajes y minerales y la exportación de químicos, leña de carbón y medicamentos.
Peru was one of the first Latin American countries to have relations with China at the beginning of the Spanish colonial rule. Since the 90s, the economies of the two countries havegenerated reforms that have givenvitality to trade and economic relations. Peru has taken the place as one of the main partners in Latin America trade and investment targets. Currently China is the second largest trading partner for imports and exports. China imports from Peru fishmeal, feed and minerals and in turn exports chemicals, wood charcoal and drugs.The Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Peru and the Government of the People's Republic of China was signed on 28 April 2009 in the city of Beijing-China which entered into force in 2010; this led to an increase in the exchanges fifty percent.
