This paper, examines Colombian poultry farming in accordance with the free trade agreements signed, from the perspective of Michael Porter's competitive advantage of nations, through the transfer of measurements through qualitative and quantitative paradigms, based on the Delphi method and Torgerson’s mathematical model as a technique for assessing consensus. It starts from a panel of experts from the poultry subsector, which is consulted on the dynamics identified until obtaining a consensus, with which it is intended to analyze the effects as a prospective tool. The data collected suggests that, although the poultry subsector has historically contributed to the national dynamic in terms of job creation, stabilization of the rural sector and the country's food independence, the attributes that negatively impact competitiveness are extrinsic, difficult for entrepreneurs to manage and attributable to national policy
