Urbanización, marginalidad y su efecto ambiental. El caso del barrio Unir II en la localidad de Engativá Bogotá

Abstract

El siguiente documento busca relatar el proceso de urbanización, marginalidad y el efecto ambiental del barrio Unir II de la localidad decima de Engativá, por medio de la identificación de cómo sus habitantes reconocen el entorno que ocupan, la perspectiva que tienen del medio ambiente y las acciones del proceso de urbanización. Se utilizaron para este fin las fuentes documentales, entrevistas semiestructuradas a la población del barrio Unir II y la observación no estructurada o participante. Las principales conclusiones muestran que la población busca cubrir una necesidad de vivienda y la protección de su entorno, desde lo que ellos consideran apropiado.

The following document seeks to relate the process of urbanization, marginality and the environmental effect of the neighborhood Unir II of the tenth locality of Engativá, by means of the identification of how its inhabitants recognize the environment they occupy, the perspective they have of the environment and the actions of the urbanization process. Documentary sources, semi-structured interviews with the population of the Unir II neighborhood and the unstructured or participant observation were used for this purpose. The main conclusions show that the population seeks to cover a need for housing and the protection of their environment, from what they consider appropriate.
