El presente trabajo consiste en una investigación documental sobre el efecto de las políticascomerciales sobre el sector servicios e inversión extranjera directa de los países BRIC en elperiodo 1990 -2014. En primera instancia, se incluye un marco teórico que asocia literaturareferente a la Globalización, el libre cambio, el comercio y la política internacional; esto conel fin de lograr responder acertadamente a la pregunta de investigación y contextualizar allector sobre los temas tratados en la presente investigación. En segunda instancia, se explicarála metodología que se empleó para la realización de los objetivos específicos, desarrolladosmediante métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos que evaluaron los efectos de las políticascomerciales sobre los indicadores de desempeño del sector servicios e inversión extranjeradirecta. Por último, se presentan los resultados arrojados por la investigación y lasconclusiones finales que proporcionan un juicio general sobre la asertividad de los gobiernosen la implementación de políticas comerciales
This work is a documentary research on the impact of trade policies on services sector andforeign direct investment sector in the BRIC countries in the period 1990 -2014. First, it isincluded a theoretical framework that combines literature on globalization, free trade, tradeand international politics; this in order to achieve correctly answer the research question andcontextualize the reader on the topics covered in this investigation. Secondly, will be explainedthe methodology used for the realization of the specific objectives, developed throughqualitative and quantitative methods of assessing the effects of trade policies on theperformance indicators of services and foreign direct investment sector. Finally, will bepresented the results obtained by the investigation and the final conclusions that provide anoverall judgment on the assertiveness of governments in implementing trade policies
