El estudio condensa el deseo de comprender la aplicación del paradigma del desarrollo humano, específicamente las capacidades humanas centrales propuestas por Nussbaum, para el caso de las relaciones inter-generacionales. Parte de la pregunta central ¿De qué manera las interacciones intergeneracionales periódicas constituyen un escenario propicio para el desarrollo humano de personas jóvenes y viejas desde el enfoque de la ampliación de capacidades propuesto por Martha Nussbaum? Para esto se realizó una revisión bibliográfica del paradigma, las etapas vitales, el reconocimiento y las relaciones inter-generacionales. Posteriormente se realizaron dos experiencias inter-generacionales similares con distintos participantes de las edades estudiadas y fueron comparadas. Surgieron 15 categorías emergentes que se interpretaron desde las capacidades humanas centrales. Se estableció que las 10 capacidades encontraron su realización en los encuentros propiciados y las maneras como provocaron la ampliación de capacidades para cada grupo etáreo desde sus características propias. Esto permitió definir algunos parámetros para replicar las experiencias y nuevos puntos de partida para posteriores investigaciones.
This study summarizes the desire to understand the application of Human Development paradigm, specifically the Central Human Capabilities proposed by Nussbaum, for the case of inter-generational relationships. It starts from the main question: In which ways regular inter-generational interactions represent a favorable scenario for human development of elder and young people from the capabilities approach proposed by Martha Nussbaum? To get this, the following was done: the literature review of the paradigm, the life stages, the acknowledgement and the inter-generational relationships. Afterwards two similar inter-generational experiences were done with different people in the studied ages and they were compared. There were found 15 emerging categories that were interpreted form the Central Human Capabilities. It was established that the 10 Central Human Capabilities were realized in the meetings fostered and the ways through they promoted the capabilities expansion of each age group from their own characteristics. This enabled to state some parameters to riposte these experiences and new starting points to subsequent researches.
