La transferencia de embriones continúa siendo una de las biotecnologías reproductivas ampliamente utilizadas en la ganadería a nivel mundial. Sin embargo, la respuesta a los tratamientos superovulatorios continua siendo muy variable en razón a múltiples factores. El objetivo del presente trabajo evaluó la respuesta superovulatoria en vacas Brahman suplementadas con un ingrediente energético (MINELAZA®), comparadas con un grupo control. El trabajo se realizó en el municipio de Maní, Casanare con 30 vacas de la raza Brahman las cuales se encontraban entre 5 a 7 meses de paridas, divididas en dos grupos iguales de 15 donadoras cada uno, seleccionadas de manera aleatoria. El grupo (Tratamiento) recibió como suplemento nutricional una ración de 200 gramos al día mezclados con una ración de 5 kilos de silo de maíz, mientras el grupo (Control) recibió los 5 Kg de silo de maíz sin la suplementación energética dos meses antes de la superovulación. Todas las vacas fueron sometidas al mismo tratamiento superovulatorio e iguales condiciones zootécnicas, luego los embriones fueron recuperados y clasificados de acuerdo con las normas de la sociedad internacional de transferencia de embriones (IETS). Los datos fueron analizados por medio de tablas de contingencia de Chi cuadrado (X2 ), con un nivel de confiabilidad del (5%). El número de embriones calidad 1 fueron 74 para el grupo tratado mientras el control presentó 34, (X2 = 18,63; P=0,0000), en los embriones calidad 2 se obtuvieron 7 para el grupo tratamiento y en el Control 22, siendo estadísticamente diferentes con un P
Embryo transfer remains one of reproductive biotechnologies widely used in livestock worldwide. However, the response to treatments remains superovulatory varies due to many factors. The aim of this study evaluated the superovulatory response in Brahman cows supplemented with an energetic ingredient (MINELAZA®) compared with a control group. The work was conducted in the town of Mani, Casanare with 30 Brahman cows which were between 5-7 months postpartum, divided into two equal groups of 15 donors each randomly selected. The group (treatment) received as a nutritional supplement a ration of 200 grams per day mixed with a ration of 5 kilos of corn silage, while group (Control) received 5 kg of corn silage without energy supplementation. All cows were subjected to the same superovulation and equal husbandry conditions, then the embryos were recovered and classified according to the rules of international society of embryo transfer (IETS). Data were analyzed using contingency tables Chi square (X2), with a confidence level (5%).
