The accelerated loss of natural coverage of ecosystems is an issue that generates great controversy and concern, monocultures, grazing and industrialization are economic activities whose development and implementation has managed to displace quite significant areas of natural coverage, causing in many cases to affect the ability of ecosystems to recover from disturbances, thus completely affecting their functionality, structure and dynamics. Effects and consequences that are beginning to take their toll not only on ecosystems but on those of us who depend on their services supply, regulation, support and cultural. We currently have many tools that allow us to remotely identify the alterations and ecosystem fragmentation associated with specific places of interest, allowing the collection of information in a complete and efficient way, for the development of this research project, will be taken into account Geographic information tools that allow us to obtain characteristics of the Yamus channel sub-basin in Bajo Ariari.
