This study was carried out in the farm “The Switzerland La Suiza”, municipality of Puerto Nare, Antioquia Department. The objective of the study was to determine the variations of elimination of eggs per gram of fecal matter (hpg) during the months of January to December of 2004 to a total of 150 water buffalos (Bubalus bubalis), which were divided in three groups in the following way: smaller than 12 months of age, from 13 to 32 months of age and bigger to 37 months of age, which were selected at random of a total inventory of 4.200 buffalos. The fecal matter was gathered directly from the right month to month during one year, then it was processed by means of the Mc-Master technique modified by Scmidht for the respective count of the eggs. It was used the Statitix to calculate the descriptive statistic, the correlation among the climatic variables (temperature, solar shine and precipitation), and each parasite group; the variance analysis was calculated in Microsoft Excel.
