Responsabilidad social empresarial en establecimientos bancarios a la luz del pacto mundial

Con base en el marco teórico de la responsabilidad social empresarial (RSE), se establece que cada día es más importante el desarrollo de actividades que promuevan el respeto y compromiso por la comunidad, el medio ambiente y demás grupos de interés, adicionalmente se reconoce que tanto el sector privado, público, académico y bancario deben trabajar bajos los principios expuestos por las diferentes organizaciones mundiales. En este artículo tomamos como referencia tres grandes organizaciones bancarias adheridas al pacto mundial: Grupo Bancolombia, Corpbanca, BBVA Colombia; logrando establecer las cualidades, características y responsabilidades analizando su comportamiento en torno a las áreas temáticas de este pacto: Derechos humanos, Medio ambiente, Estándares laborales y Anticorrupción. El diseño metodológico implementado en este artículo es la investigación de tipo descriptiva y un análisis documental realizado a los establecimientos bancarios ya relacionados anteriormente. En conclusión se aprecian las políticas y las buenas prácticas que desarrollan estos tres establecimientos bancarios en cada una de las áreas temáticas del pacto mundial. Se evidencia que en el área temática de Derechos humanos los tres establecimientos invierten en programas integrales dirigidos a la primera infancia y erradicación de la pobreza en nuestro país; en el área temática del Medio Ambiente, solo Bancolombia registra haber implementado en la organización un programa de gestión ambiental (ISO 14001), las otras dos organizaciones cuentan con diversos programas para proteger e incentivar la protección del medio ambiente, así mismo en el área temática Anticorrupción evidenciamos que los tres establecimientos cumplen la normatividad vigente para proteger al consumidor financiero y adicionalmente el BBVA cuenta con el sistema SARLAF, por último en el área temática Entorno Laboral es relevante que para los tres establecimientos bancarios es importante invertir en educación para sus empleados y proyectos en donde se evidencia que no hay discriminación laboral, todos cuentan con programas específicos de salud ocupacional y algunos otros beneficios para los empleados.
Based on the theoretical framework of corporate social responsibility (RSE), it is possible to say that each day is important to develop activities that promote respect and commitment to the community, the environment and other groups in the community. Besides, it recognizes that both private, public, academic and banking sector should work under the principles set out by the different world organizations. In this article we take as a reference three recognized banking organizations adhering to the Global Covenant: Grupo Bancolombia, Corpbanca, BBVA Colombia; the organizations were analyzed taking into account the qualities, characteristics and responsibilities, also their behavior, the analysis was done with the most important topics of the Global Convenant: human rights, environment, labor standards and anti-corruption. This article used the document analysis research method taking into account the institutions listed above. As a conclusion, the institutions has the appropriate policies and good practices to implement the strategies stablished by the Global Covenant. It is evident that in the area of human rights the three institutions aimed at investing in early childhood and eradication of poverty in our country, in the area of environment, just Bancolombia has implemented a program of environmental management (ISO 14001), the other two organizations have various programs to protect and encourage environmental protection, also in the area of anticorruption we found that the three establishments has current regulations to protect the financial consumer and additionally the BBVA has the SARLAF system. Finally it is important that all three banking institutions investing in education for their employees and projects where it is evident that there is no employment discrimination, all have specific occupational health programs and some other benefits for employees
