La presente investigación determina un acercamiento en la caracterización y análisis del eslabón de la comercialización en la cadena porcícola Colombia, analizando así el comportamiento de la cadena porcícola a nivel internacional, y luego a nivel nacional. Logrando identificar los países potenciales tanto en producción como consumo, y sus producciones a nivel mundial, lo cual evidencia el potencial del mercado porcicola en el mundo. Seguido a esto se realiza un análisis tanto del comportamiento del mercado nacional como de las entidades que regulan y controlan esta labor en Colombia permitiendo conocer qué recursos y a qué entidades tienen acceso los productores en Colombia.Finalmente se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas dirigidas a productores medianos y grandes en los departamentos de Antioquia, Cundinamarca y Valle del Cauca los cuales permitieron conocer las características en su producción y comercialización, y así realizar un DOFA el cual permitió identificar oportunidades y fortalezas y así mismo generar estrategias para el sector porcicola
The present research determines an approach in the characterization and analysis of the link of commercialization in the Colombian porcine chain, analyzing thus the behavior of the chain at international level, and later at national level. It managed to identify potential countries in both production and consumption, and their production worldwide, which shows the potential of the porcine market in the world. Following this, an analysis is made both of the behavior of the domestic market and of the entities that regulate and control this work in Colombia allowing to know what resources and to which entities have access to the producers in Colombia.Finally, semi-structured interviews were conducted for medium and large producers in the departments of Antioquia, Cundinamarca and Valle del Cauca, which allowed us to know the characteristics of their production and marketing, and make a DOFA which allowed us to identify opportunities and strengths and also generate strategies for the porcine sector
