Fishes in different development stadiums, proceeding not only from national but also imported roes, were measured in six morphometric variables of interest for culture: total length, standart length, yoke length, head length, height and thickness. Over each individual it was taken the series of measures, and data was compared between each other in accordance with fishes origin: national or imported ones. For such effect, data was grouped in four development stages and in concordance with conventional culture phases, i.e.: initiation (3 to 8 cm), growth (8 to 15 cm), raising (15 to 22 cm) and fattening (> 22 cm). Data comparison was realized only when we were able to certificate the statistical resemblance within the fishes groups' total length (independent variable). Analysis included descriptive statistic, and comparisons were realized by means of media proves (t-student) with p< 0.05. In additional manner, relations between variables were established through e regression matrix, determining the Pearson correlation coefficient magnitude. Finally, regression equations were elaborated in order that implicated variables were related. 14 Comparisons' results were obtained in base with the growth, raising and fattening stages data. Thickness variable, presented consistently a meaningful diference in favor of the imported seed during all stages (betweeen 5.5% and 7.7%). In two of the stages, head length was meaningful superior in the national seed; disappearing such difference in the fattening last phase, with fishes of bigger size.
