Abstract
This document focuses on the “El Curital” Mill, located in the rural area of Socha, Boyacá, Colombia, and its surroundings as a productive industrial cultural landscape. With over 200 years of uninterrupted operation, the mill is a living heritage that is a fundamental part of the identity and collective memory of the inhabitants of Socha. Its value lies in the integration of natural, tangible, and intangible heritage, and its ability to have survived the Industrial Revolution. The mill not only preserves the ancestral milling tradition but also has notable historical significance due to its location along the route of the 1819 Liberation Campaign. Its proximity to the Pisba National Natural Park ensures the water supply necessary for its operation, a key factor in its longevity. Despite its value, this heritage has been neglected. To address this situation and promote its values, a pilot management document using the Participatory Action Research methodology is proposed. The objective is to actively involve the local community in the development of the document, as they will be the primary beneficiaries. The main purpose of this document is to design a tourist circuit with the mill as its central focus. This circuit seeks to disseminate the value of the mill's industrial heritage and promote the marketing of flour and other milling products. These actions aim to ensure the mill's long-term sustainability through cultural tourism.
