Resumen

The project that was carried out is framed within the line of investigation “Educación, Lenguaje y Comunicación”, and it aims to characterize the pedagogical practices of the area of French through the approaches and methods that teachers favor in learning, in the ninth semester, in the teaching of French as a foreign language. The fundamental concepts reside in the pedagogical approaches and methods in language teaching, from the proposals of Richards and Rodgers (1999) and in the concept of pedagogical practices from Gómez (2010), referenced in the book “Prácticas docentes en el ámbito universitario” of La Salle University. A methodology of a qualitative type was assumed, it is seeing as a part of the study of recollection methods information of a descriptive type. The results showed that the pedagogical approaches and methods are learned but are not put into practice in a conscious manner and consequently are not reflected on.
