Resumen

Esta investigación se centró en el diseño de una propuesta de intervención pedagógica mediante el video como estrategia de enseñanza de vocabulario básico en inglés para los tecnólogos del SENA: Oficial de Cubierta y en Oficial de Máquinas del Centro Internacional Náutico, Fluvial y Portuario de Cartagena. El estudio contó con un enfoque cuantitativo y un método de investigación exploratorio no experimental, el cual permitió el diseño y cualificación de la propuesta mencionada, a partir de la identificación de las necesidades de aprendizaje en el contexto de la investigación y el posterior análisis de sus alcances y limitaciones. Adicionalmente, el diseño de la propuesta implicó el desarrollo del modelo instruccional ADDIE y la recolección de los datos se llevó a cabo a partir de encuestas en línea a treinta y cinco aprendices del programa Gente de Mar y a dos instructores del área de inglés. Los resultados dan cuenta del análisis cuantitativo de las necesidades en relación con el aprendizaje autónomo, el vocabulario y el video como material didáctico; así como de los alcances y limitaciones de este recurso como estrategia de enseñanza desde la perspectiva de 35 estudiantes y dos profesores del nivel A1.

This research focused on the design of a proposal for pedagogical intervention through video as a basic English vocabulary teaching strategy for SENA technologists: Deck Officer and Engine Officer of the International Nautical, River and Port Center of Cartagena. The study had a quantitative approach and a method of non-experimental exploratory research, which allowed the design and qualification of the aforementioned proposal, based on the identification of learning needs in the context of research and the subsequent analysis of their Scope and limitations. Additionally, the design of the proposal involved the development of the ADDIE instructional model and data collection was carried out from online surveys of thirty-five apprentices of the Gente de Mar program and two instructors in the English area. The results account for the quantitative analysis of the needs in relation to autonomous learning, vocabulary and video as teaching material; as well as the scope and limitations of this resource as a teaching strategy from the perspective of 35 students and two teachers of level A1.
