Resumen

El estudio se realizó en la ciudad de Bogotá – Colombia ubicada a 2600 metros de altura sobre el nivel del mar, con una temperatura promedio de 16 º C y una humedad relativa del 94 %. El estudio determinó la influencia de la coenzima® y el ubichinon compositum® (productos homotoxicológicos) sobre el ácido láctico, la frecuencia cardiaca y la frecuencia respiratoria en equinos, antes y después del ejercicio. Fueron seleccionados 36 caballos; 18 de SESPO (Escuela superior de la Policía) y 18 de ESCAB (Escuela de caballería del Ejército Nacional). Se registró frecuencia cardiaca, frecuencia respiratoria y se extrajeron muestras de sangre para la determinación de ácido láctico. Las variables fisiológicas y las muestras de sangre se obtuvieron en cuatro tiempos: en reposo, inmediatamente después del ejercicio, a las 8 horas y a las 24 horas. Los resultados obtenidos en este estudio permiten concluir que la utilización de los medicamentos Ubichinon Compositum® y Coenzima Compositum® administrados antes y después del ejercicio, a las dosis utilizadas y en los cuatro tiempos de toma de muestras, no presentaron un efecto significativo sobre la frecuencia respiratoria, frecuencia cardiaca y concentraciones de ácido láctico, en comparación con el grupo control.

The study was carried out in the city of Bogotá-Colombia located at 2600 meters over sea level, with a temperature average of 16 º C and a relative humidity of 94%. The study determined the influence of the Coenzyme® and Ubichinon compósitum® (homotoxicologic products) on the lactic acid, the heart rate and the breathing rate in equine, before and after the exercise. Thirty-six horses were selected; 18 of SESPO (Superior School of the Police) and 18 of ESCAB (School of Cavalry of the National Army). We registered heart rate, breathing rate and samples of blood, extracted for the lactic acid determination, which were centrifuged immediately after being taken. The physiologic variables and the samples of blood were obtained in four times: in rest, immediately after the exercise, at 8 hours and 24 hours. The results allow us to conclude that the use of the medications Ubichinon Compositum® and Coenzyme Compositum®, administered before and after the exercise, to the used doses and in four times of sampling, did not present a significant effect on the breathing rate, heart rate and lactic acid concentrations, in comparison with the control group.
