Resumen
El presente proyecto consiste en desarrollar una alternativa Homeopática para el tratamiento de anestro postparto, en una población de vacas cebú brahman comercial, que se encuentran ubicadas en el municipio de Puerto López, departamento del Meta, Colombia. Los Llanos Orientales son una zona importante en la producción bovina para el país, se presentan frecuentemente alteraciones de tipo reproductivo que llevan a pérdidas económicas altas para el ganadero. Lo anterior conlleva a una fuerte alteración del comportamiento reproductivo de las haciendas ganaderas. La Homeopatía se ha utilizado en Medicina Veterinaria en procesos curativos. Este trabajo quiere experimentar este tipo de alternativa médica en las alteraciones reproductivas presentes en los Llanos Orientales. Se pretende mejorar el intervalo parto - primer celo postparto para disminuir los días abiertos en la hacienda Caño Matoso y a su vez comprobar la eficacia del tratamiento propuesto. Los tratamientos Homeopáticos pueden tener ventaja sobre los convencionales debido a factores de manejo como son menor estrés para los animales por no usar métodos invasivos (tratamiento oral) y además los costos podrían ser más económicos que los tratamientos hormonales. El trabajo espera encontrar presentaciones efectivas del celo y a su vez buscar el bienestar animal por los factores anteriormente enunciados. Los animales fueron seleccionados en dos grupos representados en, un grupo control vs grupo tratamiento; mantenidos en iguales condiciones ambientales, alimenticias, y de manejo buscando la mejor homogeneidad posible de las unidades experimentales. A los dos grupos se les realizó palpaciones diagnosticas y ecografías transrectales pretratamiento, durante tratamiento y postratamiento con el fin de registrar un seguimiento a la efectividad del remedio homeopático. Con esta experimentación se pretende estimular el funcionamiento ovárico a las hembras tratadas y compararlo con el grupo control.

This project consists in developing a homeopathic alternative for the treatment of anoestrus postpartum in a Cebu Braham breed population that are located in the town called Puerto Lopez in Meta, Colombia. The “Llanos Orientales” is an important in bovine production for the country; there, alterations of the reproductive type are frequently seen which bring high loss for the cattlemen. This leads to a strong alteration in the reproductive behavior of the cattle haciendas. Homeopathy has been used in veterinary medicine in healing processes. This work wants to experiment such kind of medical alternative in the reproductive alterations in the Llanos Orientales. It is pretended to improve the interval between partum- first heat- postpartum in order to decrease the open days in the Caño Matoso hacienda and at the same time, to prove the accuracy of the proposed treatment. The homeopathic treatments can have an advantage over the conventional ones, due to management factors such as minor stress for the animals avoiding the use of invasive methods (oral treatment) and, besides the costs could be less than the hormonal treatments. This work hopes to find effective presentations of the heat and at the same time look for the animal welfare because of the facts previously mentioned. The animals will be selected in two groups namely the control group and the treatment group, both kept in equal environmental, food and handling conditions looking for the best homogeneity possible of the experimental units. To both groups will be made diagnostic palpations and transrectal ultrasound scans (echography) these in pretreatment, during treatment and post treatment with the objective of having a record of a following to the effectiveness of the homeopathic remedy. This experimentation aims to stimulate the ovarian functioning of the treated females and to compare it with the control group.
