Resumen

Las herramientas del laboratorio clínico ayudan a diagnosticar un sin número de patologías y a evaluar el tratamiento indicado para ellas. Dentro de las herramientas diagnósticas encontramos el cuadro hemático y valores del perfil hepático, los cuales son utilizados ampliamente por los médicos veterinarios por lo expuesto con anterioridad y adicional a ello su relativo y accesible costo. Con la presente investigación se establecieron valores de referencia hematológicos para equinos de raza criollo colombiano de entre 24 horas hasta 20 días de edad, tanto hembras como machos, con una población de 20 animales, ubicados en el centro y occidente de la Sabana de Bogotá. Se extrajo de cada uno de los animales una muestra de sangre mediante punción de vena yugular externa para ser analizada dentro de las siguientes 2 horas en el laboratorio. Con el análisis de las muestras fue posible obtener valores promedio y rangos para glóbulos rojos (8,8 x10^6/,µL - 15,2 x10^6/,µL) hematocrito (32%- 55 %), hemoglobina (10 g/dL- 16,9 g/dL), así como para índices eritrociticos como: VCM (33,8 fL- 40,1 fL),HCM (10,3 pg-14,9 pg), CHCM (30,3 g/dL- 38,8 g/dL) y plaquetas (36 x10^3/µL -364 x10^3/µL). Para la línea leucocitaria los valores obtenidos corresponden a, leucocitos (5,1x10^3/µL-12,9x10^3/µL), neutrófilos (2,3 x10^3/µL -9,1 x10^3/µL) y linfocitos (1,6 x10^3/µL -5,3 x10^3/µL). El valor para los eosinófilos, monocitos, basófilos y bandas fue de 0. Igualmente se obtuvieron los rangos para enzimas hepáticas como AST (101 U/L-514 U/L), GGT (13U/L-124U/L) y FA (621U/L-1783 U/L) y por último el valor para la proteína inflamatoria Fibrinógeno (200 mg/dL800 mg/dL).

Clinical laboratory tools help in the diagnosis of countless pathologies, and assist in determining what treatment is correct for them. These diagnostic tools include CBC (complete blood count) and liver profile values, which are widely used by veterinarians for the reasons stated, and also because they are relatively cheap and affordable. This research established haematological reference values for horses of the Colombian creole breed aged less than 20 days, located in the central and western areas of the Bogotá Sabana. There was also a population of 20 animals aged between 24 hours and 20 days (females and males). A blood sample was taken from each animal by puncturing the external jugular vein, and these samples were analysed in the laboratory within two hours. From the analysis of these samples it was possible to obtain average values and ranges for red blood cells (8,8 x10^6/,µL - 15,2 x10^6/,µL), haematocrit (32% - 55 %) and haemoglobin (10 g/dL- 16,9 g/dL), and volumetric indices such as MCV (33,8 fL- 40,1 fL), MCH (10,3 pg-14,9 pg), MCHC (30,3 g/dL- 38,8 g/dL) and platelets (36x10^3/µL -364x10^3/µL). The values obtained in the leukocyte line were leukocytes (5,1x10^3/µL-12,9x10^3/µL), neutrophils (2,3 x10^3/µL -9,1 x10^3/µL) and lymphocytes (1,6 x10^3/µL -5,3 x10^3/µL). The value for eosinophils, monocytes, basophils and bands was 0. Ranges were likewise obtained for hepatic enzymes such as TSA (101 U/L-514 U/L), TGG (13U/L-124U/L) and AF (621U/L-1783 U/L), and finally, the figure for Fibrinogen inflammatory protein was (200 mg/dL- 800 mg/dL).
