This investigation was realized in two farms; one of them was commercial and the other one was genetic, and its objective was to measure the effect of introducing in their diet a mixture of organic and inorganic acids recovered with oily acids (TETRACID 500TM) at the rate of 2 Kg/Ton over the incidence of diarrheas and the weight profit in 627 from 12 to 63 days of age. The study was divided in 3 phases: a. Phase I: It goes since the day number 12 to 21 days old, also called be in the habit of solid diet period (accustomed to solid diet period). b. Phase II: since the day 22 to 42 days old, during this two phases, the piglets consumed the pre – initiator FINCA S.A. c. Phase III: since the day 43 to 63 days old, where the piglets consumed the initiator FINCA S.A. this study had 3 repetitions by each group. The composition of the FINCA pre-iniciator is: 12% minimum humidity, 22% of maximum protein, 3% of minimum fat, 5% of maximum fibre, 10% of maximum ashes. And the composition of the FINCA Initiator is:12% of maximum humidity, 19% maximum protein, 3% of maximum fat, 5% of maximum fibre and 10% of maximum ashes. The composition of the pre-initiator and initiator was the same in both groups (control an treatment), which only difference was the used acidification. For this study, there were evaluated the following parameters: incidence of diarrheas, the weight in each hase, the animal and lot profit, the alimentary convertion and there was realized an economic evaluation. The study results in 2 farms presented better results in the treatment group, nevertheless, there weren’t stadistically significant. At the end of this study there was concluded that TETRACID 500 is an efficient product in piglets since 12 days old, without any collateral effects.
