Resumen

Este trabajo de grado analiza la relación geopolítica en materia energética entre Rusia y Ucrania durante el período de 2008-2016, a partir del establecimiento de antecedentes históricos en materia energética entre ambos países y el análisis geográfico de la relación energética en el territorio ruso- ucraniano y de la región. Para concluir con la identificación de las estrategias de los gobiernos de Rusia y Ucrania con base en la distribución y control de los recursos energéticos. Esto con el fin de generar un acercamiento a la situación energética a partir de los intereses políticos y comerciales de las partes a nivel regional y aportar material académico al debate acerca de la importancia de los recursos energéticos y el manejo de las estrategias políticas como herramienta de estabilización económica y energética. Una vez desintegrada la Unión Soviética, Rusia va a perder su preponderancia a nivel internacional ya partir de la década de los 90's va a reconfigurar su política exterior bajo un proceso de democratización de cara a un nuevo sistema internacional, en el cual se evidencian nuevas tendencias en el uso de los recursos energéticos para moldear los intereses y por ende la política exterior de una nación. Por lo tanto, resultante pertinente estudiar la estrategia política que ha tenido la Federación Rusa para recuperar el control e influencia sobre sus países vecinos, específicamente con Ucrania, por medio de una metodología de carácter cualitativo que permite el acercamiento e interpretación de la situación investigada, y brinde como resultado el contraste en esta relación bilateral y su importancia en la dinámica política y energética de la región.

This undergraduate study analyses the geopolitical relation in energy between Russia and Ukraine during the period of 2008-2016, starting from the establishment of the historical background in energy matters between both countries and the geographical analysis of the Energy relationship in the Russian-Ukrainian territory and the region. To conclude with the identification of the strategies of the governments of Russia and Ukraine based on the distribution and control of energy resources. This in order to generate an approach to the energy situation from the political and commercial interests of the parties at the regional level and to provide academic material to the debate about the importance of the energy resources and the management of the strategies Policies as a tool for economic and energy stabilization. Once the Soviet Union disintegrated, Russia will lose its preponderance at the international level and from the 1990s it will reconfigure its foreign policy under a process of democratization in the face of a new international system, in which it is evident New trends in the use of energy resources to shape the interests and thus the foreign policy of a nation. It is therefore pertinent to study the political strategy that the Russian Federation has had to regain control and influence over its neighboring countries, specifically with Ukraine, through a qualitative methodology that allows the Approach and interpretation of the situation investigated and provide as a result the contrast in this bilateral relationship and its importance in the political and energetic dynamics of the region. The present study is carried out under the logic of classical theories of geopolitics and international relations, to indicate the geographical relevance that falls on the Ukrainian territory in terms of geopolitics of the energetic resources
