Resumen

La crisis humanitaria que se evidencia en Venezuela, trae consigo consecuencias que motivan a la población a migrar en busca de oportunidades a otros países, por esta razón, se genera una migración masiva a los países fronterizos, uno de ellos Colombia, en donde gracias a esta coyuntura ha surgido un fenómeno de xenofobia hacia los venezolanos. Dada esta situación, se considera importante determinar los factores socioeconómicos que han generado dicha xenofobia, debido a la violación de derechos de los migrantes que se estaría presentando por esta situación. Para cumplir con este objetivo primero se indagará sobre la crisis humanitaria que motivó a emigrar a los ciudadanos venezolanos y posteriormente, se investigará cómo se ha presentado la xenofobia e intolerancia hacia los migrantes venezolanos en Colombia. Con el fin de lograr lo anterior, se plantea una metodología mixta en donde el componente cualitativo será abordado mediante la revisión documental, sondeo de prensa y entrevistas; y el componente cuantitativo será abordado mediante la revisión del comportamiento, en los años de mayor flujo migratorio, de los principales indicadores socioeconómicos relacionados como motivadores de la xenofobia. Así, se espera que, mediante esta investigación se pueda definir los factores socioeconómicos que han incrementado la xenofobia en la sociedad colombiana, para que, de esta forma se pueda identificar soluciones eficaces que disminuyan esta.

The humanitarian crisis that occurs in Venezuela, brings with it consequences that motivate the population to migrate in search of opportunities to other countries, for this reason, a massive migration to the bordering countries is generated, one of them Colombia, where, thanks to this situation, a phenomenon of xenophobia towards Venezuelans has arisen, Given this situation, it is considered important to determine the socioeconomic factors that have generated this xenophobia, due to the violation of rights of migrants that would be presented by this situation. To fulfill this objective, we will first inquire about the humanitarian crisis that motivated the emigration of Venezuelan citizens and later, we will investigate how xenophobia and intolerance towards Venezuelan migrants in Colombia has been presented. In order to achieve the above, a mixed methodology is proposed in which the qualitative component will be addressed through the documentary review, press poll and interviews; and the quantitative component will be addressed by reviewing the behavior, in the years of greatest migratory flow, of the main socioeconomic indicators related as motivators of xenophobia. Thus, it is hoped that this research can define the socioeconomic factors that have increased xenophobia in Colombian society, so that, in this way, effective solutions can be identified that diminish this.
