Resumen
Es importante destacar los hábitos de salud visual y ocular, porque los ojos son la fuente de información inagotable. Por esta razón hay que tener en cuenta que se deben eliminar los hábitos que son nocivos para la salud visual y de esta manera prevenir posibles alteraciones en la infancia. Objetivo. Determinar cómo los profesores promueven los hábitos de salud visual y ocular en los estudiantes incluidos en el proyecto RARESC en colegios de Bogotá. Metodología. Se realizó una investigación cualitativa – hermenéutica, efectuando una entrevista a una muestra de 20 (veinte) profesores de colegios de la ciudad de Bogotá, quienes están a cargo de los estudiantes de los respectivos colegios que se encuentran incluidos en el proyecto (RARESC). Resultados. Los profesores promueven los hábitos saludables para la salud visual y ocular con sus estudiantes enseñándoles pautas de higiene “tener las manos aseadas”, por medio de actividades en clase “decirles que no se acerquen el cuaderno a la cara” y realizando recomendaciones como “no abusar del tiempo en el celular”, “visitar al optómetra una vez al año” y “los niños que deben usar gafas que las usen correctamente”. Discusión. Realizar estrategias de prevención de la salud visual y ocular, ayuda a reducir problemas sociales, así como se hizo en algunas instituciones educativas de la ciudad de Bogotá, y no solo depende que los centros educativos realicen dicha gestión, sino que entidades se preocupen por realizar actividades de promoción y prevención, para el beneficio de la comunidad y en este caso de los niños que pueden presentar alteraciones de la salud visual y ocular Conclusión. Los profesores si propician los hábitos saludables para el cuidado de la salud visual y ocular, explicándole a sus estudiantes que medidas realizar para cuidar sus ojos

It is important to emphasize the habits of visual and ocular health, because the eyes are the source of inexhaustible information. For this reason it is necessary to take into account that habits that are harmful to visual health must be eliminated and in this way prevent possible alterations in childhood. Objective. Determine how teachers promote visual and ocular health habits in students included in the RARESC project in schools in Bogotá. Methodology. A qualitative - hermeneutic investigation was carried out, carrying out an interview with a sample of 20 (twenty) teachers from schools in the city of Bogotá, who are in charge of the students of the respective schools that are included in the project (RARESC). Results Teachers promote healthy habits for visual and ocular health with their students teaching hygiene guidelines "having clean hands", through classroom activities "tell them not to put the notebook in their faces" and making recommendations such as "no abuse of time on the cell phone "," visit the optometrist once a year "and" children who must wear glasses that use them correctly ". Discussion.
