The research was conducted in Dominican Republic in the porcine breeding "La Mina", using sows with 85 days gestation of genetic lines Genetiporc and PIC with 170 sows for pre birth phase and 560 piglets for the post birth phase, the statistic was development according randomized blocks model and for purposes of the investigation was designed two statistical models; in the pre birth phase four treatments was used depending the type of feed provided, blocking by parity and characterized as explanatory variable the weight at born, in the post birth phase two treatments was used according to intake feed for the sow, characterizing as explanatory variable the weaning weight of the piglets and blocking by gender. In pre birth phase don’t found effect (P<0,05) between treatments neither for the treatment – block interaction, neither for the back fat loss, neither for the amount piglets born alive. In the post birth phase it was determined a greater weaning weight for the piglets originating of the supplemented sows with omega 6 and 3 (+430 Grms P <0001), reaching a decrease of 2.87% in pre-weaning mortality, don’t found effect (P<0,05) in the feed – gender interaction referent to weaning weight. In conclusion the sow conserve an optimal fetal growth in ample range of nutrients intake during the last third of gestation, meanwhile the omega 6 and 3 supplement during post birth phase improves the weaning weight and pre weaning mortality decrease.
