This study was realized in the farm “El Trébol” (Facatativa, Colombia), the purpose was to compare the impact of the incorporation of the genetics of Swedish Red-andWhite Cattle in Canadian Ayrshire, quantifying productive parameters, reproductive and compositional quality of milk. For this, two treatments were used: T1: Canadian Ayrshire and T2: F1 (SRB x Canadian Ayrshire). With the aim of evaluating the productive and reproductive behavior; analysis of the variance of the route ANOVA GLM was realized to compare the treatments based on the registered stores in the Software Alpro System of the animals in production during the period 2001 to 2007, with 120 lactations in 40 animals for T1 and 100 lactations in 30 animals for T2. For the evaluation of the compositional quality of milk, cattle in production during the period of January to March 2009 were utilized from the first to the fifth calving in 137 samples for T1 and 90 samples for T2. In the reproductive aspect, the age of the First Calving and the Interval between calving were evaluated; the first aspect presented highly significant differences (p-value 0.0001) in favor of T2 obtaining an average of 28.18 ± 1.75 months and 31.46 ± 2 months (T1), meanwhile for the second aspect, no significant differences existed. Furthermore the production of milk during the period 2001 to 2007 was evaluated, within it were found highly significant differences (p-value 0.0001) in favor of T2 with an average of 7504.4± 1009.07 liters and 6408.2 ± 1090.87 for T1; the cows in milk production adjusted to 305 days during the period January 2009 presented significant differences (p-value 0.0001) in favor of T2 with an average of 8054.91 ± 698.04 liters y 6199.1 ± 964.74 liters in T1. In milk production adjusted to 305 days for protein, fat, total solids and non-fat solids, highly significant differences existed (p-value 0.0001) in favor of treatment 2 for all items, those being: Protein T2: 261,78 ± 24.17 y T1: 197,75±31,39 kg; Fat T2: 306,08 ± 27.92 kg and T1: 233,70± 38.59 kg; Total Solids T2:991,66 ± 93.36 kg and T1: 758,1 ± 124.27 kg; Non-Solid Fats T2: 686,3 ± 65.91 kg and T1: 524,4 ± 85.8 kg, however in the compositional percentage of fat no significant differences presented (p-value 0,1233). Another aspect that was evaluated in this study was the re-count of somatic cells of the milk, a parameter that also presented significant differences in favor of T2 with 287 ± 73 CCS and T1: 452 ± 100 CCS. The previous demonstrate that the genetic additive effect of the Swedish Red-and-White Bulls betters the productive and reproductive characteristics.
