The increase of the minimum wage in the insurance companies is important since by means of the annual increase of the minimum wage, the calculation of the payment of annuities that the insurers must make to their clients is estimated. Annuities are a form of life-saving pension where the individual or beneficiary (Pensioner) agrees with his insurer the payment of a periodic income until his death in exchange for a single premium. The salary is defined as everything that involves some remuneration of services, it is then, not only the ordinary remuneration, fixed or variable, but also it is all a worker of money and as a direct compensation of the service rendered. Article 145 of the Labor Code (C.S.T) refers to all work. The value of the minimum wage is not related to the cost of work, but is also linked in the same way to the elements, the minimum value to access the social security system, among others. The following work was carried out through the practice in the company of Seguros Bolívar SA during the month of February and July of the year 2018. Bolívar is necessary to be clear about the behavior between the macroeconomic variables and the salary in order to perform an estimated calculation of life annuities corresponding to the individuals insured by the company.
