Resumen
Se realizó un estudio sobre las transformaciones del paisaje en la finca San José de Matadepantano, en el piedemonte del Casanare, inicialmente se dividió el paisaje en dos clases principales: unidades naturales y unidades culturales; encontrando 6 unidades naturales llamadas bosque de galería, Bosque de relicto, Sabana, Bosque en regeneración, Rastrojo, Sabana inundable y pantano, y cuatro unidades culturales llamadas Cultivos, Potreros, Campus Utopía e Instalaciones ganaderas. A cada una de las categorías o unidades del paisaje se le realizaron mediciones de área con base en las imágenes satelitales proporcionadas por Google Earth, encontrando que las unidades del paisaje con mayor área dentro de la finca fueron Potreros y Bosque de galería, también se calculó la Dominancia y la Equitatividad para los años 2009 y 2020 con el fin de evaluar las transformaciones del paisaje. Además de ello se evaluó la integridad del bosque de galería del Caño Tiestal, el mayor cuerpo de agua que atraviesa la finca, por medio de las mediciones de las amplitudes a lo largo del caño, las pérdidas de conectividad y la cobertura del bosque de galería en los años 2009 y 2020, de la misma manera se comparó con 2 segmentos del mismo caño, uno aguas arriba de la finca y otro aguas abajo de la finca, encontrando que la integridad del bosque de galería dentro de la finca es mayor que la de los segmentos fuera de la finca. Se estableció que la gran mayoría del área de la finca está destinada para uso agropecuario, pero también posee una cobertura importante de unidades naturales que debería ser conservada. También, en las inmediaciones de la finca se lleva a cabo un proyecto social y educativo de La Universidad de La Salle que requirió la construcción del campus Utopía, sin embargo, en los últimos 10 años se encontró que la construcción del campus aún no genera transformaciones sobre las unidades naturales en el entorno inmediato, no obstante, es necesario que se continúe con el seguimiento en la zona puesto que aún resta la construcción de una de las etapas del proyecto y se continúan realizando actividades productivas.

A study was carried out on the transformations of the landscape in the ranch San José de Matadepantano, in the foothills of the Casanare, initially the landscape was divided into two main classes: natural units and cultural units; finding 6 natural units called gallery forest, relict forest, savannah, regeneration forest, stubble, flooded savannah and marsh, and four cultural units called crops, pastures, Utopia campus, livestock facilities. Each of the categories or units of the landscape was surveyed based on satellite images provided by Google Earth, finding that the landscape units with the largest area within the estate were pastures and gallery forest, Dominance and Equity were also calculated for the years 2009 and 2020 to assess landscape transformations. In addition, the integrity of the Tiestal brook gallery forest, the largest waterbody that crosses the ranch, was evaluated by measuring the amplitudes along the brook, the connectivity losses and the coverage of the gallery forest in the years 2009 and 2020, in the same way it was compared with 2 segments of the same brook, one upstream of the estate and another downstream of the estate, finding that the integrity of the gallery forest within the ranch is greater than that of the segments outside the ranch. It was established that the vast majority of the area of the farm is destined for agricultural and livestock use, but it also has an important coverage of natural units that should be conserved. Also, in the vicinity of the estate is carried out a social and educational project of the University of La Salle that required the construction of the Utopia campus, however, in the last 10 years it was found that the construction of the campus still does not generate transformations on the natural units in the immediate environment, However, there is a need for further monitoring in the area, as construction of one of the stages of the project has yet to be completed and productive activities continue.
