Resumen
El presente artículo tiene como objeto analizar la productividad de la Zona de Reserva Campesina del Catatumbo, para ello se describe el significado de una Zona de Reserva Campesina (ZRC) y se caracteriza la actividad económica de la misma. La revisión documental permite identificar los principales productos agrícolas que contribuyen al desarrollo del potencial productivo de la región y los factores que inciden favorable y desfavorablemente en el desarrollo productivo agrícola de la Zona de Reserva Campesina del Catatumbo. El Catatumbo es una subregión de la Región Andina que está localizada en el departamento de Norte de Santander. Abarca una extensión de aproximadamente 10.089 km además posee una gran diversidad de fauna y flora que convierte a la región en uno de los territorios con mayor biodiversidad en Colombia. Sin embargo, la productividad ha sido afectada por la presencia de grupos armados ilegales, por la explotación minera ilegal, por la débil presencia institucional, por la frontera de Venezuela y por la infraestructura vial

The purpose of this article is to analyze the productivity of the Catatumbo Peasant Reserve Zone, for which the meaning of a Peasant Reserve Zone (PRZ) is described and its economic activity is characterized. The documentary review allows to identify the main agricultural products that contribute to the development of the productive potential of the region and the factors that have a favorable and unfavorable impact on the agricultural productive development of the Catatumbo Peasant Reserve Zone. The Catatumbo is a subregion of the Andean Region that is located in the department of Norte de Santander that extends in the Eastern Cordillera to the Lake of Maracaibo. It has forest reserve areas such as the Serranía de los Motilones, the Catatumbo Bari National Park and the Indigenous Reserves of the Bari ethnic group which covers an area of approximately 10,089 km. It also has a great diversity of fauna and flora that makes the region one of the territories with the greatest biodiversity in Colombia. However, productivity has been affected by the presence of illegal armed groups, illegal mining exploitation, the weak institutional presence, the Venezuelan border and by road infrastructure
