Construction of City-Region, Based on the Information Needs of Inhabitants in the Municipality of Mosquera
Resumen
Esta investigación se centra en identificar las necesidades de información básica de la comunidad de Mosquera, requerida para su cotidianidad, y de todos los recursos, medios y fuentes utilizados para obtenerla, incluyendo como institución preponderante la Biblioteca Pública y así convivir como ciudadano y participar en el desarrollo de su municipio; además, se pretende precisar cómo desde la satisfacción de dichas necesidades, la población de este lugar contribuye a la construcción de ciudad-región. Para ello, en primer término, se hace un acercamiento al concepto de ciudad-región y de cada uno de los ejes contemplados en el proyecto; una vez realizada esta aproximación, se presentan las categorías, variables e indicadores de referencia que se tuvieron en cuenta para el trabajo y, fi nalmente, se analiza la información recolectada en la que se pudo evidenciar que la interacción que mantiene Mosquera con la capital contribuye a la generación de ciudad-región; sin embargo, cabe aclarar que desde la biblioteca pública esta contribución es muy baja

Abstract
This research focuses on identifying the basic information needs of the community of Mosquera that are required for everyday life, and all the resources, means and sources used to obtain it, including the Public Library as a leading institution, and to thus be able to co-exist as citizens and participate in the development of their community; it also aims to clarify how inhabitants contribute to the construction of a city-region by meeting those needs. For this purpose, an approach is made to the concept of city-region and each of the axes referred to in the Project; once this approach is made, the categories, variables and indicators that were taken into account for this work are presented and, fi nally, the collected information is analyzed, where it became clear that the interaction between Mosquera and the capital contributes to the generation of a city-region; however, it is worth noting that in this sense the contribution from the public library is very low
