Resumen
El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la evolución del sector textil en las regiones de Antioquia y Bogotá, y evaluar su nivel de competitividad. Se inicia con una revisión teórica sobre la evolución del concepto de competitividad, localización industrial, asociatividad y clúster, luego se analiza la evolución de las políticas nacionales y regionales y las principales variables de la industria textil que permiten realizar la caracterización del sector; Por último, la elaboración de indicadores de especialización, así como el análisis de la apertura comercial del sector mediante indicadores de comercio internacional. Se que las políticas públicas y la intervención del gobierno han contribuido al desarrollo del sector, sin embargo no han cumplido con el objetivo de incrementar su competitividad frente al mercado internaciona

The objective of this research is to analyze the evolution of the textile sector in Colombia seen from Antioquia and Bogotá, and evaluate their level of competitiveness. It begins with a theoretical review of the evolution of the concept of competitiveness, industrial location, association and cluster, then the evolution of national and regional policies and the main variables of the textile industry that allow the characterization of the sector is reviewed; Finally, the development of indicators of specialization, as well as analysis of trade liberalization in the sector through international trade indicators. We find that public policy and government intervention have contributed to the development of the sector, but they have not complied with the aim of increasing their competitiveness in the international market
