Resumen

El estudiar cómo el voluntariado de la Cruz Roja Colombiana Seccional Boyacá construye capital social y así ayuda al fortalecimiento institucional, llevó a identificar elementos que tal vez nunca fueron analizados a profundidad. Dentro de estos elementos, se encuentran el afianzamiento de valores, la aprehensión de otras normas, el reconocimiento de sus redes internas y la importancia de trabajar con otros voluntarios y otras instituciones que si bien no tiene los mismos principios y fines institucionales, si convergen en valores como la solidaridad, el compromiso, la entrega y el amor por las comunidades más necesitadas, que los llevan a trabajar sin una recompensa por lo menos económica.

Studying how the volunteering of Colombia Red Cross district Boyacá builds social capital it takes to identify elements to depth. These elements there are the backing of values, the apprehension of other norms, the recognition of its internal networks and the importance of working with other volunteers and other institutions than although it does not have the same principles and institutional goals, if they converge on values like the solidarity, the commitment, the delivery and the love for the neediest communities, which lead them to working without a reward at least economic.
